6 most repurchased beauty products

As a blogger I always keep my eyes peeled for new beauty brands, makeup products and launches to try, test and discover products. Based on my blogging experience thus far, among a long list of tested products there only have been a handful, that I’d used, felt brilliant to me and have repurchased.

I recall entering 2015, determined to have a list of items that are foolproof, works in a jiffy and yet delivers without fail. Come, end of the year, I finally have a so-called “the most repurchased beauty list” of my own.

These items have massively been used. Some on a day-to-day basis. While others on weekly. Repurchased in bundles and at multiple occasions. Stocked up. Gifted & recommended to my best friends. Highly raved in the blog and trusted.

Let’s start off with makeup:IMG_3894

Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 35
I hardly wear foundation to work (unless there is something hideous I like to cover) and to maintain ‘my-skin-but-better’ vibe this black tube has been my daily base entire year. The never failing product of Nars, has been my trustee since the time I discovered the brand. Texture works well more than anything. Weightless, medium cover & hint of glow is all I need to start the day. Shade wise, I use Medium1 during winter and Medium2 in summer.

Tom Ford Brow Sculptor in Espresso
Brows are super important to me. Simply because mine isn’t perfect! I used to shave my uni-brow during teens (yes! crazy times). Hated the concept then – but seriously wish I knew “Cara’s boyish brow” would be THE thing decade later. Now I’m paying the price by using castor oil and other brow growth serums and I can’t seem to live without this one too. Even though it’s slightly expensive I’m yet to find a brow product that is easy to fill the gaps by drawing hair-like strokes, looks natural, stay-put like cement, pigmented and quality as the TF brow sculptor. I’ve tried Anastasia Beverly Hills -DIPBROW Pomade but honestly don’t see the convenient side of it to be used daily unless you have plenty of time in the mornings. Brow Sculptor may need to be repurchased every 3-4 months if you are using every single day.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
Finding the perfect concealer in the world of beauty is a difficult task to conclude. I’ve tried many in the past. Raved a few (here and here) but for daily basis, I’ve happily settled in with NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer for both under eyes and spot concealing.  I use both Biscuit and Caramel – perfect shades for medium skin tones. Creamy texture is super easy to blend and doesn’t budge on top of powder nor settle into lines. Say bye to dark circles! A tube (AED 159/-) lasts for 2/3 months.

Estee Lauder Lipsticks
I’ve always been a Chanel, Nars & Tom Ford lipstick girl. EL is the latest conquest to join lippy category with Pure Color Envy range (both matte & sculpting). Since then I have bought at least 10-20 lipsticks in different shades for myself/friends. Hands down the best I’ve dealt so far in terms of texture, consistency and finish. No doubt, Chanel & TF lipsticks are amazing, worth the splurge and luxury buys but if you are looking for an everyday lipstick then I cannot stop raving about these. Favorites are : Restless (Kendall J collab), Desirous (perfect vamp) and Discreet (pinky nude).

Skincare wise:

La Mer Lip Balm
The best lip balm for chapped & severely dry lips! There I said it. I know its La Mer and I promise you it’s not over hyped as similar to the rest of their product line. Because, I’ve been carrying & using this every single day during the last year! Unlike other lip balms La Mer provides lasting relief for sore/dry lips and instantly  locks the moisture the very moment it touches the lips. I also like the non-greasy texture. No shine just plain hard working balm that has a slight tingle effect, also long wearing and perfect as a base for matte lipsticks. Even at a staggering price point (AED 492), it is worth every penny. Currently on my 3rd balm.

Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm
I needed a lighter version of my all time favorite Eve Lom Balm cleanser, for weekly use and that’s when I found Omorovicza’s cult product. Even though the price range is similar to Eve Lom, my normal-oily skin thoroughly enjoyed using the Thermal Cleansing Balm. Though it is a night cleanser I used it day time, massaging the Hungarian moor mud to the dry skin. Removed after 5-10 minutes with a warm washcloth and topped it off with Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask. Though this routine could be some what unconvincing for many, it has worked wonders so far on my skin.  To begin with, I had no crazy breakouts, skin was clear, hydrated, healthy, deeply cleansed and I’ve never been happier with my skin. However, I’m unable to comment if it is any good at removing makeup as I’ve never used it as makeup remover, all I can say, it is a staple in my skin care routine. Single tub would last for 4-5 months depending on the personal consumption.
