Bulgari Le Gemme Fragrance – Review

Bulgari Le Gemme Fragrance – Review

I’m not a huge fan of Bulgari perfumes as much their high jewelry line.

So the latest from the brand Le Gemme collection was the first formal intro to Bulgari’s perfume world.  Unlike the previous releases, Le Gemme is quite special for the brand as Bulgari enters the exclusive sphere of Haute Parfumerie – a collection that has an intimate linkage of fragrance & gem stones.
Le Gemme collection is small with 6 fragrances that represent six jewels of rare richness.  Each one corresponds with an iconic stone that tells a story linking the art as a jeweler to art as a perfumer. I choose Amarena, the Tourmaline, the pinky red that attributes spiritual qualities of  the gem. Everything in this stone is nothing but luxuriance! Fragrance wise not my usual “crispy-citrusy” but feminine, sexy & powdery for a change with heavy, sensual notes of powdery rose accords & Indian tuberose.

Bulgari Le Gemme Fragrance – Review

For me, Amarena is a scent that I would like to save for a very special occasion.  Aroma is different and there is something about the scent that puts you into a sensuous mood and also long lasting (8 hours).  The selling point is the bottle which is gorgeous! However it isn’t stable at upright position. But it is one luxurious object that could help to decorate your home once you’re done with the fragrance. Considering overall luxurious appeal of the scent and packaging, Amarena is a lovely (and a generous) gift option. All 6 fragrances can be purchased individually or as a set.

Talking about the price – it is very expensive (we are talking about Bulgari here people!). 30ML is AED 575/- whereas 100ML is AED 1550/-. Surely you could easily purchase good 6 perfumes of Davidoff Cool water or 3 NARSICO by Narciso Rodrigus, but Amarenais not just any but a haute perfume. It justifies the price!
