Christmas Makeup

Merry Christmas Eve everyone .. : )

I write this post at Christmas eve while tasting home-made glass of wine 🙂  Besides the excitement of getting up early to open presents (especially now I have a little girl to share that moment with!) Christmas Eve is just as fun. It  can’t get any better than this. I can go on about the wine, dine and gifts but I’ll pause as I want to talk about Christmas makeup. Shall we?

If you haven’t decided on your Christmas makeup yet, now it is time to look for and I thought of sharing mine so you all lovely ladies can get an idea & will help you in your choice.

Apart from my usual base products I specifically chose the rest of the items for the occasion.

Blush: As you all know I’m a blush addict and I just cant step outside without it. Also when it comes to getting holiday pretty, blush is non-negotiable. The latest pick is my Marc Jacobs Beauty – Shameless Bold Blush in in Rebellious.  This cool berry tone with a satin finish is super pigmented. Even though it is vibrant and bold, it just gives rosy cheeks once applied. Will be reviewing this more deeply-stay tune for the complete review.

Eyeshadow: It is amazing that you can experiment with different shadow colors for Christmas. I fell in love with Chanel Fatal Illusion d’Ombre from the Christmas collection. Fatal is a color that would work harder for you. It’s unexpectedly easy to wear because the color gives an effortless natural look and it looks so good with my green eyes. It stay put for good 6-8 hours without fading, creasing & budging.  Let’s say that Fatal make my heart sing. It is a truly must-have shade and you just cant go wrong with it during Christmas or at any event/festival.

Eyeliner: Black liner swept across the top lid makes a bold yet elegant statement that needs very little else: Marc Jacobs Magic Marc’er Precision Pen Eyeliner is best I’ve used so far in the eye liner category.

Mascara: I said it before in my post and saying it again. Guerlain Cils d’Efner MaxiLash Mascara is one of the best in the market. You can get full, long, thick and dramatic blackest black lashes in a second and it doesn’t smudge and stays for longer hours without cracking & flaking.

Lipstick: Red lipstick is perfect for Christmas because it is so glamorous. I decided to go for Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro #400. Couldn’t think anything else which doesn’t spoil the mood for me. #400 The Red is a classic red, and I love this shade so much. The formula is so velvety and light, it gives a matte finish but with a subtle glow, especially where the light hits on your lips. With Lip Maestro, you need only ONE swipe for full coverage and you only need to use a very tiny amount of product to cover your lips.Once on my lips, it stayed and didn’t budge for 8+hours.

Fragrance: Perfume is important at any occasion for me and Christmas isn’t optional. I bagged the every latest Sì by Giorgio Armani at Dubai Duty free which came with 30% discount. Let me start by telling you that I beyond love this. It is very feminine (compared to many of my other fragrances) but in a “you-don’t-want-to-mess-with-me” kind of way. It is getting compared to Lancôme’s La Vie Est Belle, and that’s fair enough, although I might like Sì a bit better, just because it’s a bit quieter, and a bit less sweet. Bottom line: very elegant.
