Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant – Review

As I’ve said before, Dermalogica is a brand that never seems to disappoint me. I liked everything that wsa tested from the brand.
Since recently, my skin wasn’t behaving as it should and had 5-6 breakouts at the same time. This was very abnormal since my skin usually doesn’t behaves like this. During the past 2 weeks I’ve been pampering my face with all the smoothing, hydrating and rejuvenating masks that I had in my vanity along with a gentle exfoliant to get my skin back. In this process I found Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant`

I’m not sure why I didn’t use it much before.

This is one of those life-changing products. Not just the product itself but the product type. Though it is an exfoliant it works as a mask. Its super great for those who have very sensitive skin and for others who prefer fruit enzyme and AHA/BHA exfoliants compared to granule scrubs.

It is a smooth white cream that spreads very easily on the skin. It stays spreadable for like 30 seconds till it starts to dry up and get mask like. Just make sure you don’t wait too long with spreading this evenly everywhere.

I removed the mask with warm muslin cloth – as lukewarm water doesn’t do a great job. At the end Gentle Cream Exfoliant left my skin smooth (due to lactic acid) and with improved skin texture. After removing the mask I straightly went into my PM skincare routine by gently tapping of the excess water and applying a soothing toner, night serum, eye cream and a rich moisturizer. The next morning I get to wake up to clean fresh looking skin. I instantly have a more even complexion, less oily skin, and skin that both feels and looks less congested.

It contains salicylic acid, which can be drying. Hence I used it only twice a week. Oily and acne prone skin types are really going to love this and can use thrice a week.

Well I can safely say that I’m a completely converted to AHA / BHA exfoliants after trying out this one.
