The second bits of summer collection review is here.
Summer Bronzing compact – what an astonishing surprise from Clarins! Even though the 4-shade concept (swatches below) is similar to Guerlain’s famous 4 season’s bronzer, no doubt with a release like this, Clarins clearly has up the ante on bronzing game. The maxi compact with a mirror has to be one of the pigmented bronzers I now own. I used it as a base eye shadow & to sculpt the cheek bones. The matte texture is super brilliant and since all 4 shades (with little variation) are warm, it qualifies as a universally appealing one. The finely milled powder blends effortlessly and wears 6+ hours. During the last month or so I wore this every single day and couldn’t love this more. It’s a good investment. Quality bronzer overall and possibilities are endless with it.
Ombre Iridescente Cream-to-Powder eye shadows – Yes all 3. But if you don’t fancy playing with color then #02 aquatic green can be axed. However, I strongly feel #01 aquatic rose and #03 aquatic grey are must buys. Both universally flattering shades and can be worn every season. Aquatic rose is best for the day and grey to nail the smokiest smokey eyes. The grey is also an in-trend shade for Fall 2015 and buying it now during summer wouldn’t do any harm to your wallet. The creamy-to-powder texture not only makes the application smooth but long wearing. Not sure about the creasing as I always wore UD eye primer underneath.
I’ve created 2 looks using Clarins Aquatic Treasures Summer 2015 Collection products.
For the day look: Aquatic Rose on the eyes and summer bronzing compact for light bronzing.
For the nigh look: Went for an incredibly grungy smokey eyes inspired by Fall 2015 runaway. Aquatic Grey & Green shades on the eyes, Clarins Kohl eye pencil on the waterline & heavy application of Summer Bronzing compact .
