Rouge DIOR in Poison Matte (962) it is.
I hunted this the moment, press photos of the beauty look created by Peter Philips for the ready-to-wear CHRISTIAN DIOR A/W 2016 Show was released. Being a complexion + lipstick sucker, the beauty look was just too sophisticated & edgy to pass up. In my view Poison Matte is not vampy. It’s the new benchmark of sexy. We are talking about -zero rules here. Just you, Poison Matte & plenty of attention 🙂
Overkill is not the concept with a bad ass lipstick like, Poison Matte. Spotless skin, brows, soft contour + blush, bare eyes and mascara (or doll-like lashes) is what I’ll be sticking to. I may add clear layer of gloss like Peter Philips did but that’s all about it. You’d be surprised how aubergine-black can give you a face lift in couple of swipes!! For a matte lipstick it’s, very much comfortable to wear, creamy in texture & has a bit of sheen. I prefer this texture to mega mattes any day (I’m looking at you, UD Maga Matte Vice Lipsticks).
Can’t say I don’t love Poison Matte. Well I don’t want to at least because it’s such an uncustomary shade in my beauty books. I’m slowly opening up to the darkest & by far the sexiest lipstick I own in the vanity & definitely would be using it a lot more often than I thought I would be. All I know it’s going to be a bold ride – for now.
What are your thoughts about this edgy lipstick? Would you wear it?
